The Life Cycle Assessment or LCA methodology (Slovenian: life cycle analysis method) is one of the key tools in determining which circular economy strategy brings the most benefits for the environment. Namely, LCA is used for the comprehensive assessment of the environmental impacts of a product throughout all its life stages, including the extraction of raw materials, production, distribution and use. This method includes the analysis of various impacts on the environment, as well as the analysis of embedded values, which the circular economy tries to draw attention to.
